The Client decided to expand and upgrade their use of SAP Solution Manager. They asked Data-Core to implement SAP Solution Manager 7.1 Technical Monitoring (including Early Watch Alerts), Business Process Monitoring (including batch jobs) and iDoc monitoring.

Expand & upgrade SAP Solution Manager

Data-Core Systems consultants performed the following tasks to achieve the client’s objectives:

  • Upgrade of Solution Manager 7.1 SP05 to 7.1 SP07
  • Complete setup of Basic and System Configuration Wizards including rollout of Solman Central Notes
  • Complete configuration of managed (satellite) system setup, including rollout of required security patch, add-on install and/or plugins
  • Rollout of SMD agents 7.3 on the managed systems including Solman
  • Configuration, rollout and testing of ITSM including integration of Service Now (3rd party) ITSM tool and ITSM SLA agreements
  • Automatic SAP license management
  • Setup of alert management notifications of the landscape through Solman
  • Setup and use of Solution Manager as project document repository and scope management for upgrade project
  • Setup of Business Process Monitoring including monitoring of batch jobs and iDoc Monitoring
