Business Objective

The client wanted to migrate the home-grown ERP software from on-premises server to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

What services and solutions did DataCore Systems offer?

  • Undertook Network configuration for both Data Center (DC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) setup.
  • Used Oracle Linux 8.x version for application server which helped perform daily automatic updates which in turn kept the Oracle Linux system secure and available.
  • Installed Tomcat 8.x for Web Server for both DC and DR which provided an additional layer of security.
  • Migrated the database (DB) from Oracle 12c to Oracle 23ai.
  • Used DATAGUARD in OCI to synchronize the DC and DR site.
  • Implemented WAF (Web Application Firewall).
  • Implemented Load Balancer which increased response time and reduced network latency.
  • Deployed the existing software to Web Server.
  • Tested the entire software.

Strategic Benefits

As a result of our collaboration, the client benefited in the following ways:

  • ERP required minimum infrastructure maintenance/configuration to run
  • The software would run as fast as the on-premises server
